Plan a Mission Trip





Trip Opportunities:

Village Evangelism, Door to Door Evangelism, Village Bible Story Day, Bible School Week,  Painting Schools, Minor construction in schools or village homes, school sponsorship program (in July and August with Hearts of Christ teams), tutoring in H.O.P.E. Christian Learning Center or schools, building outhouses, village feedings, medical team opportunities (must have approval from Minister of Health; three months in advance of trip), computer training classes, sewing classes… opportunities are endless!

NOTE FOR MEDICAL TEAMS: 
Medical Teams must submit required documentation for approval from the Minister of Health in Belmopan, Belize.  Hearts of Christ will submit the request upon receipt of paperwork; this process usually takes 3 – 4 months.




Information on Planning a Trip:

  • Join a Hearts of Christ mission team group or get your own group together; call Carla Jennings 423-312-4466 if you need additional information.
  • Teams accepted: Jan 15 – June 15, October, November. 
  • A passport is required to enter the country of Belize.
  • The ministry requires each team member to have international insurance coverage (about $3.50/day) and a tetanus vaccination; all other vaccinations are optional.
  • Hearts of Christ missionaries will meet you at the Belize (BZE) airport and transport your team to the Hearts of Christ Children’s Ministry mission site in Roaring Creek Village, Belize; a one-hour ride. 
  • Lodging at the mission house is $15/night per person.  Teams are responsible for meals and fuel usage.
  • Missionary couple and caretaker are on-site 24 hours/day.
  • Mission house sleeps 40 people; 20 beds in women’s bunkroom and 20 beds in men’s bunkroom; has a full kitchen with refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, coffee pot, dishes..; towels, washcloths, sheets, pillows, pillowcases, blankets, mosquito nets are provided.  There are four shower stalls, 4 sinks, 4 toilets for women’s bunk area and 3 each for men’s bunk area.  Compound is fenced and gated. 
  • Team members are responsible for all personal hygiene products and paper products.
  • Team can purchase bottled water for cooking and drinking; grocery stores are accessible for food purchases.
